Be a registered non-profit in the US or Canada
Have existed for at least 30 days
May only use Layeredy's services for non-commercial use

For Open Source

Have at least 50 stars on GitHub or an equivalent site, OR at least 1,000 monthly active users
Have existed for at least 30 days
Must still be in active development
Must not be managed by a for-profit company
May only use Layeredy's services for non-commercial use

Reverification will happen every 12 months to verify that you still qualify. Misuse of the non-profit/open source plan will result in an account suspension and the permanent loss of ability to re-apply in the future.
