This monitor has been disabled and is not actively monitoring your service.

Monitoring Paused

Your monitor has been disabled in the dashboard and is currently inactive.

This status indicates that monitoring for this service has been intentionally paused. No checks are being performed, and no notifications will be sent regardless of the service's actual status.

What does "DISABLED" mean?

A "DISABLED" status means that you or someone on your team has manually disabled this monitor through the Layeredy dashboard. While disabled, the monitor will not perform any health checks or send any notifications.

This is useful when you need to temporarily pause monitoring during maintenance windows, when decommissioning a service, or when you want to stop monitoring without deleting the monitor configuration.

What happens when disabled?

When a monitor is in DISABLED status:

  • No active monitoring: Our monitoring agent will not perform any checks on your service
  • No notifications: You will not receive any alerts, even if your service goes down
  • No data collection: Uptime statistics and response time data will not be collected
  • Configuration preserved: All monitor settings, notification channels, and historical data are preserved

Re-enabling your monitor

To re-enable monitoring and resume health checks:

  • Log in to the Layeredy dashboard
  • Navigate to your monitors list
  • Find the disabled monitor and click the "Enable" button
  • The monitor will transition to PENDING status while the first check is performed
  • Once the initial check completes, the monitor will transition to UP or DOWN based on the results

All your previous configuration settings will remain intact and monitoring will resume immediately.
